Well I knew that I loved this series. This game did not disappoint, there are a lot of references to the previous games but you don’t necessarily need to play the others to to understand this one or to enjoy it. Will certainly be buying Pikmin 5 when it comes out in another 10 years lol. You can also get Pikmin 3 as well, attaching a photo of 3 for you to see as well.

Takes the best aspects of the previous games and puts it all together. If you enjoyed the first 3, it’s a must play. If you’ve never played a Pikmin game, it’s definitely worth checking out. My only complaint with this game is that there is a lot of handholding in the beginning, and some of the character’s interruptions during gameplay can be annoying. Everything else is fantastic though. If they added a patch to reduce this then it would be perfect. Graphics – Looks great on the switch, tons of attention to detail. They did a good job of making you feel small in a big world. Sound – Music and sound design are on point. I love how different enemies make the map’s music change tones, and the drum line boss theme slaps. Gameplay – It’s Pikmin but more streamlined. It’s easier to form a squad than before, and Oatchi can help with some of the more tedious aspects of the game like gathering idle Pikmin for you. The aiming mechanic is vastly improved over older games. Also, you get access to different items like multiple types of bombs, so the player gets more tools to mess with. I also like that they included the underground tunnels from Pikmin 2. Multiplayer – Kinda lacking. There is “co-op” but player 2 justs shoots pebbles at enemies. I want to say the dandori battles are 2 player but I’m not sure. Replay value – Haven’t beaten the game so it remains to be seen. You can repeat the dandori battles to improve your score, but beyond that I’m not sure. I would imagine that there will be DLC for this game.

pikmin is one of my favorite games ever. You are a small alien crash landed on a familiar but larger planet in hopes of rescuing your crew as well as other castaways from other ships. You come across little creatures called pikmin that you can control to carry items, fight enemies, and fix/destroy obstacles in your path to reach your goal. Pikmin have different colors and abilities such as red cannot be burned. You make more pikmin by bringing material to their nest with the color of pikmin you want more of. Each day has a time limit so it is best to be efficient and plan your moves accordingly. Very fun game
