Overall Review: I built a new computer and did a fresh install of Windows. The USB drive boots right up into install. The install requires an internet connection, but because the compute was new there were no drivers loaded, so I was left with a “Select Network”, but no options. I was able to find that I had to download the network drivers from my motherboard manufacturer and there is a screen during the initial install that says “Load Drivers”. Once I did that, the install was smooth sailing.

Pros: It mostly works and I like the ability to have multiple desktops. Cons: Too many to list all of them, but here are a few: 1. Places ‘Onedrive’ in the path to Documents even if you don’t have Onedrive installed. 2. Forced me to use Microsoft Hello to log into my PC the first time. 3. Randomly marks folders as Read-only and doesn’t allow me to make any changes. 4. Moved simple tasks like changing your default browser behind complicated menus, probably in an effort to prevent most users from changing away from Edge. Overall Review: Windows 10 was a lot better, but I’m still quite fond of old Windows XP. To me that was about the best Windows operating system Microsoft ever released. Windows 7 was close though and Windows 10 didn’t have enough downsides to make me regret upgrading to it. Windows 11 however, I have regrets… Lots of them!

Pros: -It’s an operating system Cons: – Bloatware galore – Microsoft data collection reaches a new high Overall Review: – It’s a typical Windows product. You pay for it, Microsoft then collects data on you and profits from that also.
