The Digging tooks are fine. When it is on sale for less than $30, it is worth it. You would pay that much for similar quality tools singularly.

The cutters are bad. I was annoyed because I selected this set out of others because while I really needed new digging tools but cutters are always useful.

The pruning clippers can’t even make a clean cut on a young rose bush. They definitely can’t handle anything more.

The straight pointed scissors are the kind I use the most, which means I also lose them the most, so any extras are great – except these. They get stuck all the time, which defeats the purpose of these kind of cutters.

The gloves look good, but I haven’t tried them. I have difficulties with my grip. The claws are on my weaker hand, so I don’t think I’ll be able to use them.

The bag is of quite poor quality and doesn’t effectively hold the tools. If the pointed cutters go in, point down, I think the bag would have gotten a puncture. The cutters don’t have a guard, so if they go in, point up, I know I would get a puncture. I put them inside the bag instead, but the bag is pretty floppy, so it isn’t great for easy access items.

The bag has 8 pockets, but only four have an elastic to keep the tools in place. I put in four tools, and the elastic broke before I picked it up. I replaced it with a stronger cord and used the sprayer and drink pouches for tools.

The knee pad and apron are laughable. I mean, I guess they are kind of a bonus, but they are useless for anything other than kids dress up. They are both very small. If you are petite, you might be able to use them, but not for long. The straps are weak and have weak connectors. I cut the bottom off of mine and made it into a belt, but because of the weak straps, I just use it as a roll up to contain the cutters and other small tools I used the top part to hang on a garden cart for temporary storage. I haven’t found a purpose for the knee pad yet.

I am really glad about the new digging tools. My last good spade (that I can find) broke. I needed new, but I wish I’d gone ahead and spent a little more for a quality bag. I am thinking of one of those 5-gallon bucket bags. I saw one meant for car washes that looked good.

The tools are great for medium to light gardening. One of my tools broke when trying to unroot a rose bush. I moved out all the dirt around the bush and was using this for leverage to unroot the plant and it snapped. I know I probably shouldn’t have used the little shovel to unroot but it happened so just reporting on it. Other than that, the tools are great. They will move should and everything.
