These are great little memory units. I have been using them to offload photos and other files from my Windows machines for many years. However, there is something that users should know. These units pop up in advertisements for the Panamalar outdoor/security cameras that also use these tiny storage units to store videos (e.g., my four security cameras). Whoops! That’s a problem. The Panamalar outdoor/security cameras are not compatible with these 128GB units. So buyer beware if you go to buy an outdoor or security camera. Make sure there is no maximum GB constraint on the camera side. These units with 128GB will not work with some of the devices out there even if the ad for the storage unit pops up as a ‘billboard’ on the same page as the device.

Great card. Works as intended and the quality is excellent.
SanDisk has not let me down yet. And from all the cards that I bought from them, only a single ONE ever went corrupt on me. However, that was my fault since I insisted on using the card with a very old laptop that kept giving me errors when trying to access the card. And it ended up getting corrupted. Again, it was my fault in that particular case. I later found out that the mini SD card just had too much storage capacity to work well with the old laptop.
Some advice to people reading these reviews: please stay away from SD cards that promise huge amounts of storage capacity for a cheap price. Those cards will very likely not provide you with the advertised storage capacity. But with a fraction of it.
So stick with cards from well known brands such as SanDisk or Samsung.

TLDR: I had issues setting it up on my Steam Deck but I somehow ended up fixing it and it works great. It runs games fine, stores a lot and I generally have no complaints.

I bought this for my Steam Deck, but as soon as I plugged it in the SD card refused to read- or it “bricked”. I couldn’t format it on anything, even a laptop. Though this wasn’t the SD cards fault, it was the Steam Deck’s; apparently they’re known to brick large SD cards.
I read that one fix was to plug the SD card into a Switch and format it with that system. So I did that and now the SD card works perfectly. I have no clue what Nintendo is hiding up their sleeves, but if you had issues with your SD card like I did AND you happen to have a Switch, here’s a quick fix for you. 🤷🏼♀️

ho scelto questa micro SD per estendere la capacità della switch di mio figlio, che dopo l’ultimo aggiornamento accetta micro SD anche molto più grandi di 128 GB (credo fino a 1 TB).
Le prestazioni di questa Micro SD sono leggermente superiori a quelle della console Nintendo che, nella migliore delle ipotesi, arriva a leggere a 90 MB/s. Sarebbe quindi inutile usare schede più performanti e costose perché la console non le sfrutterebbe. Anche le famose schede “certificate per la switch” in realtà sono proprio questa scheda qui, ma con la grafica stampata sulla facciata e vendute al doppio del prezzo.
Differentemente per gli smartphone o i droni o le fotocamere in generale il problema sono i video: se infatti fate video a 1080 con 30 Fps (controllate le impostazioni della vostra fotocamera) allora ok potete usarla, se invece usare 4K o 5K o andate a 60 e oltre FPS allora avete bisogno di spendere più soldi per una scheda più performante.
In sostanza per un Mini2 la si può anche usare, per un mini3 non la consiglio. Per una GoPro 7 sì per una GoPro 8 e superiori no, per uno smartphone fascia medio-bassa sì per uno di fascia medio-alta no e così via…
In sostanza la consiglio per tutti i device non troppo esigenti, ha un ottimo rapporto qualità – prezzo quindi soprattutto se in offerta prendetela al volo.

I usually catch these micro SD cards during really great sales. I have been a fan of SanDisk for some time, and have had no issues or problems with them. I used them for my phone…until they decided to remove the SD slot!!! 🤬 At least my tablet still can use them, and hold my music and photos!
Well, even if I can’t use them in my phone, I can still use them in my handheld gaming systems. With the size of game files getting larger and larger, smaller SD cards are almost useless. Whenever I find the SanDisk 1 TB cards on sale, (Prime Day Sale this time,) I get one or two. They are fast enough for running just about any game that your system can handle.
I highly recommend these SD cards, but make sure you’re purchasing them from a legitimate seller. I’ve seen all of the horror stories of people getting counterfeit SD cards. I make sure that mine come from the SanDisk Store, or someone that they recommend, and I’ve had no problems.
