She is fascinated by tree animals. I gave this to her expecting a game involving the squeaky squirrels I’d unwrapped and stuffed inside the log. The first thing she did was tear out the bottom of the log, even though I showed her the other openings. I think she thought if she destroyed the whole tree they’d have nowhere to hide. That took her less than 10 seconds. I was still gathering the packaging when I heard the rip. It’s now hanging like a flap because I wrestled her for it and I distracted her by playing fetch with the squirrels. Now I stuff the remnant of log with all her toys and treats and tuck in the flap, and each time she plays with it, she pulls a little more stuffing out of it. I don’t think it will last very long. But she does love the squeaking squirrels. They sound just like the real tree animals outside that seem to enjoy teasing her. She chews one of these stuffed squirrels while laying on top of the rest. The squirrels are more sturdy than the log. Anyway, I’d buy this again, but I do wish the stitching on the bottom of the log was sturdyer. It’s hard with a bull-terrier, but since everyone knows dogs love to chew, there’s a high expectation for toys marked with a double-digit pricetag to stand up to the chewing, at least for a few minutes. 5 stars for creativity in the design, and for hours of fun for my animal companion, but one star deducted for the log being deconstructed before I could clean up the packaging.

Y’all… My little dog, Olive, is about 17 pounds of terror when it comes to her toys. She will see a squirrel outside in the yard and suddenly run to her toy basket, grab a toy, and throw a little rage fest. It is almost comical. Twenty minutes later, there is no toy left- just a ripped up skin and a LOT of fluff. Don’t get me wrong… She absolutely destroyed this toy, as well. However, it took her nearly a month to get to the “throw away” point. She would easily pluck the little squirrels out of their tree trunk home, but because they were smaller, she didn’t seem to gut them so quick. She would go outside to chase the real squirrel, and we would stuff her little victims back into the trunk. When the squirrels were gone, she tore up the tree trunk portion in just a few attacks. I have to say, this toy is 100% Olive approved.

Yup. He’s a fan. 5/5
We got the Large version. Came with 6 mini plush toys with it. All have little squeakers in them. But I’d say they’re softer sounding/less obnoxious. He’s had it for a few days and loves digging his face in all the openings and pulling different things out. Good quality material could actually see myself getting the tree version of this one down the road cause he’s such a fan

A friend bought me this for my newly adopted large dog. She loved her bees so much. Takes them out of their hive and carries them around the house making them squeak. So adorable. She gets a wing and her doggie sister gets the other to play mini tug of war. I recently had to buy a new set because they were played with so much!

My dog loves this!. she usually rips stuffed animals apart but she has not done that yet. I’ve had it several months now and it has held up. Now her sister did rip one apart, that was her only goal was to shred it, lol. she literally sat down with it, held it in her paws and pulled and pulled until it was apart. (it was work, but she was able to destroy it enough to get the stuffing out, which is ALWAYS her goal. )We still have 2 though and she (dog #1) plays with them often. I would buy again!

My German shepherd loves puzzle toys so I bought this for him. He did enjoy it a lot but he chewed through a portion of the trunk in under a minute and the toy doesn’t contain the squirrels anymore.

I opened this and it was much smaller than I expected. I almost returned it. However, I decided to let our Jack Chi try it and I’m so glad I did. She LOVES it. It’s probably her favorite toy now. She loves getting all the squeaky squirrels out of the log.

We read about this squirrel house as it seemed to be a favourite of dog owners. We bought it for our two golden retrievers at Christmas and they loved it! They enjoyed opening the wrapping paper – of course – and then amused themselves no end with the house and all the squirrels. One brother, Marley, loves playing with all the squirrels and the other, Sunshine, loves carrying the whole shebang around. So it’s pretty perfect really.
That was almost two years ago now and they’re still playing with it, a real endorsement!
