I’ve been using this to turn loose garden soil and mix in amendments in tight spaces where a normal tiller just isn’t going to work. It does that job perfectly. The few times I’ve needed to use it for harder or more compact soil it was quite a lot more difficult, but I’m pretty sure that is to be expected. Feels durable.

I have been wanting to start my garden but have so much to do in the backyard! This garden and yard tool completely saved me and I was able to get my garden down in half the time! This tool was super easy to use and It quickly became the best help for gardening. This manual hand tiller is super easy to use and I cannot imagine tending to my garden without it. Its anti-slip footplate and sleek curved handle have made every task a hundred times easier. With a little twist and the force of my own body, it throws the arrow and sharpens into the soil and works wonders, removing and digging into the soil effortlessly.
It’s not just a tool it’s the secret to my garden’s success. It has breathed life into my plants, creating a vibrant, healthy garden I’m proud of. My garden makes me so happy and Im extremely proud of how long this has lasted. I love that when Im cooking dinner I can now go outside and grab what I need to cook with it’s awesome!

We got this to de-weed our front garden with and it has made our lives much easier. This breaks up the dirt with little effort and makes gardening much more enjoyable. Overall build quality seems to be very good, and it has held up perfectly so far. Definitely would recommend this product.

My backyard has what I call “bald patches” where the grass does not grow. This really has helped me break up and loosen the clay like dirt. I love the little foot rest to be able to put all my weight for depth. It’s very easy to use and does exactly what I need it for.

I’m giving it all 5 stars because it delivers. Naturally this will come with some caveats.
1) Assembly was brainless easy.
2) Because the tool is driven by twisting the handle the shaft will slip while twisting up to the point where the bolts are attached. So while you’re using it, it may want to move some, but that doesn’t stop the tool from working either. It just feels weird.
3) The step plane is absolutely necessary. I bought this to use in some patches of hydrophobic clay on my lawn surface. The tines aren’t enough to dig down, you absolutely need to step down on that shelf.
4) The tool itself will do the first step of breaking the surface and bringing up the material, but breaking that down will be another step for a different tool. Not sure if this is the right one to also rake in organics and sand to recondition afterwards. You may find a cultivator will make quick work of the next step.
5) This really is for small patches of dirt here and there, and it requires some sweat equity. If you’re planning on tilling even a small yard in whole, I’d probably recommend renting a roto-tiller from your local home store. You’re going to need it to work in your other materials too anyway.
6) It’s not a lightweight tool, its got some meat to it but its also not a lead brick. It’s also not very compact so heads up, it will take up some shed space.
7) The offset handles and step plane are a nice touch. Makes it comfortable and easy to use. The grips are also comfortable but I imagine an extended session of tilling will necessitate gloves even if they were made of the best grips ever made in the universe.
8) This one is a little thing but boy was it nice. On a flat hard surface, it stands up. BOOM.

I love this tool. I have fibromyalgia and alot of muscle weakness and an empty two acres of hard ground. I needed something easy to use and this was perfect. I was able to put my foot on the base in hard areas and it still twisted the grass like magic. The handles made it so easy. I am beyond thrilled having waited 8 months for a rototiller that apparently the hubby doesnt want to buy and found this tool, finally even an old lady like me has hope this will be the most beautiful garden. Run out and buy one of these now you will actually enjoy using it.

I was able to get the ground ready for all my pumpkin plants in a short period of time. Did exactly what I hoped it would do. And it gave me a great upper body workout haha!
