My cat hates and likes it at the same time… She definitely doesn’t like to stand on top of it, and it helped to stop her jumping onto the kitchen counter. However, she also likes to chew the spikes and plays with it

The clear sheets are great for kitchen and bathroom counters because they blend right in. I used a bit of tape to hold them in place at first. They can be cut to fit any space. AND THEY WORK!

I got this for my cat always banging on my door and if I would let them in then they would start knocking over stuff in my room until I’d feed them so I got these in front of my door I had to spread them all over cause they’d find a way in they didn’t bang on the door much anymore I saw my cat carefully walking on them they did work a bit back to the title I walked out of my room barefoot forgot the mats were there stepped on them it didn’t cut it just hurt for 5 minutes I bent the spikes but was able to bend them back to normal position

I bought these to keep our new cat off of our dining room table, and a shelf in the living room. Georgie had gotten up on the living room shelf in the night, and knocked everything off … EVEN ALEXA! We didn’t find her until morning. Apparently Amazon needs to add a new Alexa skill: “Help! I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!”
And his other favorite place to play in the dark is our dining room table.
As you can see in the photo, these mats are less than daunting. First, there aren’t enough for our table (the one on the shelf works). Even if I added the one from the living room, I would need 2 more. I crinkled some heavy duty foil to put in the gaps. That worked much better, as it didn’t move.
BUT, Georgie quickly realized he could just tap them over a bit, or push them off onto the floor, get up on the edge of the table, then bounce over.
These mats don’t come with anything to keep them in place — they need little suction cups. I tried to roll up painter’s tape to hold them in place, but it didn’t stick to them. They do, however, work on human feet very well!
In all, I don’t know if I’ll order more for the table. I’ll probably try to find some that have something to hold them in place.
UPDATE – I returned them today. They’re useless on smoothe surfaces.

I tried many products to keep my pets off my furniture (both chemical and non-chemical). I bought these for my new furniture and by far, these clear spikes have done the job from Day 1. It is now Day 10 and my cat and Shih Tzu have not jumped on the furniture after the first attempt. Also, since it’s clear, these spikes are not an eyesore as other things that I’ve purchased. I bought another set to create a barrier to prevent my dog from going to his old potty area until he gets used to his new spot. It’s a great purchase.
Two Month Update: (Second pic) I removed the spikes from sofa since my cat is completely deterred from it. I now use them as a barricade to keep my dog from going to his old potty spot.
