PhyllisKaplan –
I tried everything to get my kitten to stop scratching 2 pieces of furniture. Cat nip on vertical scratchera, aluminum foul, citrus scented sachets. Nothing worked. Until this.
As the directions say here on Amazon, I sprayed 2x a day. I did go heavy at first. It took less than week for thr scratching to stop.
It has been a few weeks and the behavuor hasnt come back.
Strong smell of tea tree, but all good.

Update to me original review (see below):
The seller was very responsive to my original review so I am editing my overall rating from 1 star to 3 stars due to this.
Wish I could tell if this product worked. After 2-3 applications, the pump does not work. At this price point I would not expect this issue. I have reached out to the company and am waiting for a response.

This totally works. We just got a new kitten and for some reason our bed frame is perfect for scratching. She really doesn’t scratch anything else it’s weird (scratching post on the way for now). Tried this and set her on the bed. Put her closer to the headboard and she just started backing up like she was scared. So this definitely works… but the bottle is really bad. The spring doesn’t make the head go all the way back up and then basically only let’s one spray. I had to press down then pull it up before sprying more. Also it’s 18$ and you can just get some rosemary oil essentially. Product did as advertised but not sure it’s worth it

Ty product worked.
Like, holy ****, I can’t believe it worked.
But it did.
Took ~1.5 bottles over the course of a month or two. I never finished the second bottle, since so far the two cats both ignore the new furniture set. We have things for them to claw as alternatives: a small kitty city in a corner and a small super cheap ottoman that I bought intentionally for them. I sprayed a lot more than they recommended at first (probably by about double) but very shortly dialed back to less and less and then none at all. I just saw the bottle and got to thinking: they haven’t clawed the furniture ever and we haven’t used the spray in near on a year.
I rarely post reviews but this spray more than earned it. The spray does have a gentle scent but one we found pleasant enough.

It stopped my cats from scratching

My young adult cat had started to develop a furniture-scratching problem. The good news is that I used this spray a few times, and the problem has improved markedly. The bad news is that I have no idea whether the spray is the reason, or was it my firm “NO” & a good scratching post that did it? The spray must be sprayed on repeatedly throughout the day and only lasts a few hours; this was hard to time correctly… I’d spray, three hours would go by and the cat would scratch. If I had remembered to spray again, would it have stopped him? In any case, he has largely stopped so I give some of the credit to the spray. As far as the spray itself, as advertised, I found the scent to be very mild & perfectly pleasant. Also noteworthy, I sprayed it on all sorts of surfaces (including leather), and it left no visible residue. So, at least the spray does no harm (and maybe it even helps!).

Our cat has been trashing our sofa and chairs, a few sprays with this and no more.
Kathleen Dalheim –
it smells great. I hope its effectiveness lasts. My cat has no interest in the plants.

This product smells nice and is easy to use. But, I find I have to keep reapplying it often; maybe more than once a day. I’ve ordered a different product.
