Bought it for the crab grass in my yard. It works fine but it’s not easy to pull out the weeds from the claws. It tends to gunk up if you have clay or such in your yard which makes it harder to use. It does work though and has helped with my crab grass problem though.

I have wanted to try one of these weeding tools for my lawn for some time since I’m not a fan of weed-killing chemicals. I finally bought this model and I was surprised by how solidly made it is. There is no plastic on this tool -it’s made of iron and what appears to be a metal alloy handle. I love the simplicity of this tool; basically, you lean it forward, away from you, and plunge it into the ground over a weed guided by your foot on the lever. Then simply pull the tool toward you while pulling up. It removes the weed and root too. It may pull up some soil as well, so, I just tossed a bit of lawn soil and grass seed into each hole I made. I highly recommend this weeding tool for its simple effectiveness and quality construction.

Its good at getting weeds out but it takes a clup of soil out too! One improvement would be a way to realease the weed with a lever rather than having to pull weeds off by hand

This actually works quite well. I chose this one due to it being the cheaper option over the Fiskars and Grampa’s. I’ve pulled up weeds just fine. I would say the only minor thing I experience is having to manually pick out all the first stick to the forks but I’m sure that the others are the same way.
I’ll update this if anything breaks/messes up.

This tool had me soooo excited to get one ….. I am tired of bending for weeds. But, even tho’ it was assembled ezly ….. I have yet to get the big, fat claw into the ground to leverage out a weed! This probably has more to do with dry soil here, so I am waiting for a good rain to soften it to see if I can get that claw into the ground more easily. The principle of the tool is brilliant. I’m trusting I can find a way to work for me.

This works wonders! The handle came in 3 parts with 2 threaded connections. I have to occasionally screw them back down but other than that it works wonders!
