It’s been a year since our dog started using Zesty Paws Probiotics for Dogs (gut health), and I can confidently say that the positive effects are still going strong. Not only has our furry friend experienced improvements in his overall well-being, but his breath and overall smell are better – a change we couldn’t be happier about.
Recently, my husband accidentally purchased the same brand within a different category. Not being able to return the product, we decided to try it, temporarily putting aside our trusted Zesty Paws probiotics. However, after just a little over a week, we noticed that our dog’s odor was starting to return. Recognizing the significance of this change, we promptly switched back to Zesty Paws Probiotics for Dogs (gut health).
The difference was remarkable. Our dog’s smell improved once again, reinforcing our belief in the effectiveness of this product. While it’s true that the cost can add up, especially considering our larger dog’s daily dosage of three capsules, the results are more than worth it. A single bottle may only last us 30 days due to the dosage, but the impact on our dog’s odor and overall comfort is priceless. An investment worth continuing.

I have fed my dog several different “ bites” from “Zesty Paws”, over the years, not one disappointment.

(a few details that some may find gross)
Last week, (16yrs +) dog had a significant stomach upset that necessitated a trip to the vet. In addition to the n/v, diarrhea, dehydrating, etc., she was not able to keep her medication’s down. She has heart problems and some serious medications that CANNOT be missed.
The vet gave us three different types of probiotics to help with reestablishing her healthy intestinal Flora.
Zesty paws, probiotic bite, is the only one she will actually eat, not the other bites, and not the powders. She had a couple of pretty miserable days, she had so much gas. I could tell that it was hurting her stomach a lot. I’m talking about smell-from-2rooms-away, type of bad smell, without a break, for hours, and hours. WAY different “fragrance” than her norm. Gas pain hurts, we’ve all experienced that.
Now, the gas has gone way down.
She can lay down to relax with greater comfort & enjoy her rolling & stretching motions.
Probiotics are wonderful, setting up an environment that’s hospitable for what we want to grow.
Probiotics can also begin helping right away, & it’s possible that is what happened here, as other than the (attempted) addition of the (few different) probiotics, nothing else was changed.
Her stomach was so sensitive, & she kept vomiting everything up. But she kept this down. She did great.
However it happened, she’s feeling way better than she did. & my pretty girl keeps on moving. (As does her behind) lol.
I’m a pretty loyal customer for anything that helps me/a loved one of mine, to have a better quality of health/life.
FYI – the two pics I’m including are of the same product, but this specific jar is smaller one, same product, that’s all.

I have a 3 year old cavalier and she has had the worst yeast ear infections , tear stains and just general discomfort from yeast. I was at my wits end with constant vet appointments and ear treatments etc. I decided to get a probiotic thinking it wouldn’t hurt and can help with all of her sensitivities. Well after about 2 weeks I have noticed her tearing is almost cleared up and her ears are fresh and not red and stinky. Happy this might be a solution because I hate that she has had to be in pain and discomfort and I also think antibiotics have hurt her ability to fight off some of the yeast. I’d also like to add that she is sensitive to chicken so I bought the bison version and she thinks they are a treat she is sooooo picky!

Let’s start with the pros. One of the most impressive aspects of this probiotic is its flavor. Both my puppy and older dog absolutely love it and consider it a treat. They eagerly devour it whenever I offer it to them. This is a huge plus as it makes administering the probiotic much easier and enjoyable for them.
The size of the treat is just right. It’s large enough that the dogs need to chew it, which allows them to savor the flavor rather than simply swallowing it whole. However, it’s not too big to the point where they have to exert a lot of effort to finish it. This balance ensures that they have a pleasant chewing experience without becoming overwhelmed by the treat’s size.
Within just two days of incorporating this probiotic into my dogs’ routine, I noticed a significant improvement in their stool quality. It became noticeably harder and more solid, indicating that their gut health was positively impacted by the probiotic. This quick result was very impressive and gave me confidence in the product’s effectiveness.
Another noteworthy aspect is the quantity of treats provided. The package contains a large quantity of treats, which is great considering how little is needed to address their gut biome issues. This means the product offers good value for money and lasts longer, saving you from frequent repurchases.
Moving on to the cons, the only notable downside I found was the treat’s grainy and powdery coating. It tends to leave crumbs behind, similar to a sugar cookie or a sugary donut. While the dogs can easily lick up the mess, I recommend avoiding giving them the treat over carpeted areas or rugs to prevent any inconvenience or potential staining. This is a minor inconvenience compared to the numerous benefits the probiotic provides, but it’s worth mentioning for those concerned about cleanliness.
In conclusion, the probiotic for Dogs has proven to be a valuable addition to my dogs’ diet. The flavor is highly appealing to them, making it a hassle-free way to support their gut health. With visible improvements in stool consistency within just a couple of days, this product delivers on its promises. Despite the crumbly nature of the treat, the overall positive impact on my dogs’ well-being outweighs this minor drawback. I highly recommend this probiotic for any dog owner looking to improve their furry friends’ digestive health.
