My shoe size is 12-1/2 and these socks without stretch can easily fit a size 15. The heal portion is grey in color, this sits on the upper portion my Achilles if I pull the sock to where it’s snug on my foot. I guess by positioning it where the heal mates up to mine, this adds more cushion to the foot portion.
As for being crew socks, they’re closer to being tube socks. I have to fold the calf portion in half just so they set just below my calf. Otherwise, they’re closer to the back of my knee.
It appears that the sizing isn’t consistent, because I went with the 12-14 size based on other reviews stating the socks were too small.
I decided to keep them for their value. I know next time to pick the size down.

Finding decent socks at a reasonable price has gotten tougher these days. I wanted as much cotton in them as possible but didn’t want the shrink or sag typical with 100%. Based on the previous reviews, I chose these and they are great. Perfect fit (if anything maybe a tiny bit bigger than expected). After having worn and laundered several pairs, numerous times now, there is no noticeable shrinkage and they still fit great. My only “less than 100%” is that two pairs are some kind of weird metallic blue color. I can imagine outfits that these would go with, but nothing in my closet! I would much rather have gotten maybe a couple tan pairs instead. I’ll find someone to use them or donate them to one of the homeless shelters or something. Would still buy these again….

I never really think about socks, I just run to Walmart and grab a pair or a bag of them. But lately I’ve been noticing that my shoes always start to stink after a while. The Walmart socks are polyester so your feet sweat a lot. So after a little research on google, I ordered these that are almost 100% cotton. It’s solved the problem immediately because my feet don’t sweat. And they fit really well, plus are soft and comfortable will definitely buy more!

Hubby really liked the color and I did too. He usually wears white socks but they never look like they’re clean.
He hasn’t wore them yet bc it was getting warmer when I bought them.
Another thing was he has some trouble with his feet and I felt like the cushion in these socks would make his feet feel better.
They really look like a good quality also.
