I purchased this for that purpose. I have a townhome, with a large air conditioner compressor next to the house in my back patio. This allows me to get in behind and around the compressor and get out those peasky leaves that accumulate each fall. The product is solid and durable, and the bottom of my compressor is mostly free of leaves. I do recommend this handy small rake.

I bought this to replace a lost dandelion weeder, the one with the curved shaft and forked tip. This is different and is very good for weeding in beds around shrubs if not so good for dandelions in lawns. It looks well made and feels good to use. Not a direct replacement for my dandelion remover but has proved useful in other ways.

I was looking for a hand rake to use to clean around the bushes next to the house. I don’t mind getting down on my hands and knees to use it. It’s very sturdy and is small enough to work well in the tight spaces and pull as much leaves and debris as possible away from the plants. For “nook & cranny” cleaning, it worked well for me. Quite sturdy. I would definitely buy again or recommend it to others.

I have been using this all the time since I got it. It’s the Abrams Tank of dandelion removal, but it’s also good any other time you need to dig straight down deep in a narrow space. I only give it a four because there is something rattling around in the handle, and that makes me a bit nervous about durability. That said, if it craps out I will probably get another to replace it!

This tool is a lot bigger than I had expected, but it works well. In this photo, you can see it pictured next to my pruners. I’m an estate gardener for a landscaping company and I like this product because it is sturdy, but it’s dull enough that it is less likely to cut the roots of a weed than my Fiskar’s Hori Hori. I use the Hori Hori when I am working around cultivated plants that send out runners all over the place. In that situation, I want to pull up the runners until they are getting close to the plant and then cut them and the little gut hook thing on the Hori Hori works great for that. The Xact Weeder is what I use for most of my other weeding needs since it tends to get things up by the roots without cutting the roots. By the way, let me just emphasize that this product is dull and it is NOT a cutting tool! Those serrations on the side are just for looks and they’re duller than a butter knife! It works great for its intended purpose though. Last week, I was pulling the horsetails out of the mulch in the atrium area at a school and all of my coworkers had given up pulling them up by the roots and were just pulling the tops of with their hands, but with this product, I could loosen up the soil enough to get at least most of the roots from each one. It will be interesting to see how many come back where I weeded compared to where they weeded. Anyway, I highly recommend this tool. Also, if you want a holster for it, this one works well, even though it is meant for a chef’s knife. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B087BBHS2L?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 I wear it behind my other tools because it is really long and would probably hit my elbow on it a lot if it was farther forward. I kind of wish it had a shorter handle and came with a good sheath, but it’s a great piece of equipment just the same.

Like others have mentioned, there is a weird rattling noise but nothing about the function seems compromised. I like the orange as it makes it easier to notice I’ve forgotten it lying somewhere. Functions well and is low profile enough to get into smaller spaces, too.

We have lots of pine trees. I like to rake a small area of lawn at a time as I pull weeds and remove acorns and pine Bark from one area of grass. This rake serves that purpose.
