Pros: Gone are the days of the headache inducing anti-virus. I can finally say I’ve found an anti-virus software that is not intrusive to my gaming experience in any way. My PC actually runs smoother during online play and never slows for “automatic” updates or scans. Cons: The anti virus features are incredibly deep, but after seeing such a stark change in performance my greedy side wishes they had even more features to optimize my computer (Wishful thinking I know, heres to hoping for an updated version for 2014!) Overall Review: A lot of anti-virus software has trouble differentiating from each other, if you’re looking for something truly different, look no further.

Pros: good protection small footprint good price — especially if you wait for special deals Cons: a tad expensive if you don’t wait for annual deals Overall Review: i run a total 9 devices across various platforms: ios, linux, osx (oem and hackintosh), win7, and android. on those devices where antivirus software makes sense, i’ve run webroot since 2011. it’s not always the very best, but it’s consistently at the top in terms of heuristics and footprint. this product is often discounted on newegg. when you hit your expiration date, don’t renew on the webroot site — you won’t get a good discount that way. instead, check back here (and/or other places) to see if they have a deal going (which they almost always do). if you do this, you can keep up to 5 machines protected for less than $20/year. sure, this method requires a couple extra steps from the user, but it saves upwards of $30.

Pros: – Does what an anti-virus should- Blocks threats well and keeps you protected- Works well beside Malwarebytes Anti-malware pro Cons: – Doesn’t have a webroot based firewall and uses Windows firewall. Which is okay, but I’d rather love to see what webroot could do with their own stuff. Not that big of a deal though. Overall Review: – All in all, paid about 10.00 dollars for this newegg sent me a code waited about 8 hours for the code. Just had to create a new webroot account. Which wasn’t that big of a deal either. #1 Bitdefender total security 2016#2 ESET Smart Security#3 Webroot SecureAnywhere
