I don’t love that this is made of PVC, but it was inexpensive, the right size and shape for our tiny awkward bathroom, and can handle the mega-rolls of toilet paper which the old porcelain mortared-on TP holder can’t. It also takes care of the extra roll storage dilemma. It also shipped small and light, so if I hadn’t been able to put it together immediately it wouldn’t have taken up too much room. I like that it can hang on a wall and might end up doing that if I decide to chip off the porcelain one. It went together easily and it’s sturdy enough for its stated purpose. If handled with reasonable care it shouldn’t be hard to keep it out of the landfill, and if I end up not needing it (hoping to remodel soon) I can pass it along for further use.

Be patient and don’t use too much force to push it together (skip the hammers!), or excessive force with the screws. When the jigsaw-like joints are important to stability you don’t want to over-work them putting it together hastily. For this reason I suspect it would not be as sturdy if disassembled and reassembled but it’s so small I can’t imagine why you would need to. I have arthritis in my hands so I was worried I might need to get the hammer out but I was able to gently wiggle and press things together without a struggle sitting at the dining room table. I did use my cordless drill for the screws, but used the lowest setting and went slowly. I stopped when the screw head was just barely recessed so it would look smooth but not strain the parts or strip the screws. There were a few extra screws included, along with a tiny Phillips head screwdriver, which was nice.

I was worried I might have to do extra work to reverse the door, since I wanted the knob on the right and not the left as in the product picture. But all I had to do was start with the opposite side from what is shown in the instructions and flip things in my head–a little bit of a challenge but I double-checked things as I went and didn’t have to un-snap anything. Do read through the instructions before starting, and you might want to hold the parts up to visualize before attaching if you want to do the door reversal trick like I did.

Este producto es bonito y funcional, pero no tiene relación entre calidad y precio, pues el material es por demás ligero, y aunque el mío sigue intacto porque no hay niños en casa o mascotas grandes que pudieran dañarlo, dudo que resistiera un golpe con cierta fuerza, algo que sí resistiría un mueble de madera, por ejemplo. El estante mismo es un buen producto, pero el precio es por demás elevado para el material del que está hecho, desde mi percepción, endeble.

Solid product. Definitely made of cheap particle board but you get what you pay for. An important note, though: due to how the door swings on this structure (as well as it’s general width) you will need to buy smaller/thinner toilet paper rolls for them to fit. We currently use 2-ply, 3.9″ by 4.1″ rolls and these are cutting it close – there’s maybe .1″ of wiggle room on the diameter.

Assembly was a bit annoying as most builds that rely primarily on properly placed slots are; things need to be pushed just right to get them to fit. However, once they’re in place, it’s relatively sturdy.

I ordered this and received Same day delivery which was awesome especially considering that I ordered around 5pm on a Tuesday after Labor Day. I was just in need of something for tissue/wipe storage as the place I’m renting does not even have a tissue holder handle in the bathroom. This looked convenient. It was pretty simple to put together — like puzzle pieces and a few screws plus a doorknob. I was shocked by how little the box it came in was so that threw me off at first (don’t be surprised if you order and receive a tiny box.) The only thing I wish is that the inside was a little deeper or a tad bit wider. I understand this is intended to fit into small spaces but for what I want to use it for, a slightly bigger option would have been great. I was also confused how the tissue dispenser would work seeing that it doesn’t come with a rod to hold the tissue. But literally just lift the flap (after assembly) and put a roll in and pull it through and that’s it. I haven’t tested the actual rolling tissue off for use yet, but will update if there are issues.
