I just wanted a throw for my new couch that would be a bit festive for the holidays. This was exactly what I was looking for. I can’t see myself using it beyond the season, for a number of reasons, but I wouldn’t want to pay a quality level price for something that will attract moths for 10 months out of the year anyway.

It’s soft enough, but has permanent fold marks from the packaging process. After two washings they’re still present. It does shed some, again after two washings, but not enough to be noticeable to the average person. You can easily pull off a chunk of the soft white portion (wool? Cotton blend? Idk) if you aren’t careful when folding, but it won’t leave fuzzies on your couch. So it has the potential to shed, but it doesn’t actively shed – if that makes sense.

This all sounds like nit-picking, I know, but you should know that this isn’t the kind of throw you use year round. The quality just isn’t there. But if you just want a cheap (but not “cheap”) holiday throw blanket that won’t leave you itchy and can actually keep you warm, then this is the best you can hope for without spending too much money.

Liked it at first but heads up does not machine wash well – would need hand washed or dry cleaners

Attractive tartan pattern which never dates. Darker greens suitable for everyday use without getting grubby in appearance. Lining tends to pick up bits of cotton etc which is probably inevitable.

I should have kept this. It was so soft.
