Very sturdy. Very well made, but handle is not wide enough for a person with large hands. I found my fingers cramped while holding the handle. If you are a person with large hands, do not purchase this item. They should make the item with same quality, but a handle that is about 1/2 inch wider.

I bought this as part of a wedding gift. I pulled it out of the box to che k the quality before giving it and it appears to be very strong and well made. I had an old pastry cutter bend once when I used it, but this appears to be much stronger with thicker metal than my old one that bent. I’ll probably buy this same item again for other gifts.
