You’re money on the set with the wand controller, it won’t work. I’ve bought several from different companies and none of the wand remotes work. Also two of the candles from this set don’t react to any controller and I have to screw/unscrew the bottom to turn on and off.

Upsides:
-Wow, this is a fun product! I’m getting a huge kick out of using the wand remote!! I didn’t expect it to work, but it did (the on button is a little sticky but does still work). Currently 11/12 candles function with the wand remote.
Downsides:
-requires LOTS of batteries (TBD on how long they will last)
-1 candle will not turn off with the wand remote. It will only turn off if I unscrew the battery cap.

The product is amazing if used in the dark. The items are just translucent enough to make them look darker at night. I have them in my hall in work office and people say the same thing….”going all out on the ambiance again i see”. Love it…. during the day they lose alot the effect if used near brightly lit areas. Well work the price…. remote makes life easy.

Edited: the seller reached out and offered a refund for a replacement, hopefully this one works!
I’m really sad 🙁 there’s no way for me to reach out to seller to request a new wand, I replaced battery and it still does not work. I used it once and the lights were stuck on so I had to untwist all of them to turn them off since the wand is now useless. I really hope I can get a replacement wand so I don’t have to purchase another set of candles 🙁

Edit: This company has awesome customer service. They reached out and offered to refund me, which I didn’t think was necessary. But they did anyway. The product works great, just know they take a bunch of batteries. 🙂 I am going to order another set, because we do really like them.
Original review: This product REQUIRES 2 AA batteries in each candle. 24 AA batteries total. The remote also requires a battery, but that one was included. The product details above said no batteries required. So just be prepared to spend a bit on lots of batteries. The box doesn’t even mention batteries being required. Nothing would work when we opened the box. Finally, we unscrewed one of the candles and look there’s a spot for two batteries. We had to try a bunch of batteries to see which ones we needed, because nothing says AA batteries anywhere. Otherwise, it seems to work well. Seems like they really need to fix that on their marketing.

These are awesome for creaking a spooky atmosphere. Unfortunately two candles did not work right, one of which had a burning smell when new batteries were installed. These definitely take A LOT of batteries! 24 AA & 1 AAA
