The set will serve my purpose. Like most costumes. it’s a little on the inexpensive side but it will work just fine for me. It does fit, I like the poncho and the color is nice. The head piece will be reinforced and since I ordered this in enough time to get the pumpkin in shape, the overall look will be just fine. After I am done, I will be able to store it up for next year’s Halloween function. What I like most is that it takes little to no effort to turn this into a costume because I can throw it over anything I wear at any time.

The set as a whole is not the greatest, but also not the worst. The poncho itself is very soft and adorable, albeit thin, but can work well over a jacket or sweater. The headband and bucket are made of thin, crunchy felt. I docked 1 star for the condition of the headband; it was so wrinkled and crumpled to one side. I docked a second star because the eyes and nose on the candy bucket were barely hot glued on just hanging on.

The stem/hat and pumpkin basket seem like they were made from crafting felt. The pumpkin poncho is very thin and and the winking jack-o-lantern pattern is as described. The costume does form a cohesive pumpkin-look when worn, and my wife says she prefers the thin material because she can wear whatever outfit she wants underneath and still look dressed up in a costume. Its very easy to wear and looks exactly described in the photos. Overall maybe not the best quality but its still pretty good.

This poncho is cute, but it is a very thin material, and you will need to wear something solid colored underneath. The hat and bucket arrived flattened, possibly beyond saving, but I’m still trying. (I’ll edit this post if I find something to fluff them back up with.)
All that said, it is fun for a quick halloween costume that you can easily toss on over a work or evening outfit. It’s lightweight and comfortable to wear. One size should fit all adults, as there is no form to it, just a poncho that drapes over your shoulders. I look forward to being a pumpkin this Halloween.

It’s not the best quality but it’s not very expensive so you get what you pay for. The head band and bag are a bit cheap but the pancho is decent. It’s definitely one size fits all. It fits my 7 year old and busty teenager.

This pumpkin cape is absolutely adorable and will fit anyone. I happen to be a bigger pumpkin in this and still look cute. I love the winking eye and the cute felt headband pumpkin hat. The cape is thin and lightweight. I love joining in the fun and this is perfect to do so. Cute and simple. Very happy with this holiday attire.

With a retail cost of seventeen bucks this a a decent budget costume, but it has it’s issues.
The material of the collar, pumpkin, and headband topper, is very stiff. Sort of like if felt had been sprayed with spray starch. If it were spray starch though, i think it would be easier to get the folds and creases out of it.
The creases in the collar aren’t bad and I probably won’t worry about them. and if I stuff enough candy or something else in the decorative pumpkin, it probably won’t matter if it’s a little creased up here and there.
But the topper on the headband might be unusable if I can’t figure out something to get it flat on the edges. I think the stem on it is a lost cause. It’s practically all glued down, so even if I could iron it to standing up and it would stay, I’d first have to figure out how to get it unglued without ruining it.
The main body of the costume is so lightweight that it’s see-through. I’d recommend wearing orange under it if you have it, but if not anything that’s a plain solid color. No decorations or they will show right through.
I like that I’ll be able to wear plenty of layers under this without compromising the costume since it’s usually freezing when taking the kids out.
I think with a little more care this could have been a great costume, but i’ll just settle for cute.

Honestly, I have to say I’ve purchased better quality costumes from Walmart for less than this pumpkin poncho.
The poncho itself is very thin, so prepare yourself for that. If you had any kind of print underneath it, it would definitely be visible through the fabric. So prepare to wear something solid in color. The felt around the neck is also a bit stiff/itchy.
The headband came pretty crumpled and flatten. I’m not really sure how to get it back into something that resembles the shape it’s meant to be in, but maybe if i soak it? It’s just a complete crumpled mess.
The bag took similar damage to the headband as they’re both just made out of a hard felt. You can see the eyes and mouth hot glued on. There are literally strands of the hot glue. And the bag itself is so small I would imagine it would only fit a couple of pieces of candy and wouldn’t really be worth going out with unless it was an infant.
I honestly think you could make this costume with items from a craft store. It would come out way better and you wouldn’t feel disappointed.
